World Economic Forum submissions are open. Hence, if you dream of changing the world this might be your chance. Perhaps, you have an energy initiative or idea that could truly shift our energy consumption toward more renewable sources. Maybe you have an idea for a new energy technology.
Well, the World Economic Forum wants to hear from you.
Looking to shape the future of energy, make an effective transition to a more sustainable, affordable, secure and inclusive energy system, and change the 81% of global energy that is still based on fossil fuels. That is, the same percentage as 30 years ago. This organization has recognized that “a transition is needed to a more inclusive, sustainable, affordable and secure global energy system that provides solutions to global energy-related challenges, while creating value for business and society, without compromising the balance of the energy triangle (security and access/environmental sustainability/economic development and growth).”
With that in mind, here is what they are asking for
“We are searching for breakthrough energy related innovations from the last decade (2010-2020). The innovations must be either in pilot phase or commercial operation. Additionally, it should contribute towards the acceleration of the global energy transition.
Judges have a number of criteria for your submissions including potential for scale and potential for societal impact. They will be publish the winning submissions in a white paper before the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2020 in Switzerland.
To be considered, please complete your one-page high-level document and share with [email protected] before 13 September 2019.”
There is no time like right now to consider just what you can contribute to the world around you.
